This artwork was commissioned by Warren Records as part of the Make Noise artist development project that I took lead on. My aim was to create a Digital Promo Pack complete with: Album Digipack, 'Coming Soon' and 'Out Now' promotional images for print and social media, cover photo banners and gig posters. I managed to create a consistent brand that looks professional and suits the artist's wishes. I take a person-centred approach in my design; tailoring each project to the artists' needs and focusing primarily on their ideas. This means adapting my design preferences and working with the artist to reach a compromise in ideas to keep the design at a high quality. One challenge that this project provided was working with a specific photo already set to specific dimensions. Here I had to work out a way to fit the photo to the dimensions for an album cover. This required editing in photoshop such as cloning and light alterations. In this case the artist also wanted a more saturated image than I intended in my design- this again meant reaching a compromise to keep the work at a suitable industry standard .
When doing all the promotional work, I ensure that it is all colour matched across the board. This gives a consistent and uniform brand for the client to use on their social media and website.
